Dayquilt

Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026 · Updated October 6, 2026

The short version: Dayquilt doesn't collect your personal information. There's no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. Everything you put in the app stays on your devices and in your own iCloud account, and we can't see it.

Who we are

Dayquilt ("Dayquilt," "we," "us") is a personal planner app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website. If you have any questions, email support@dayquilt.com.

Information we collect

None. Dayquilt doesn't have its own servers, user accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking. We don't collect, store, sell or share your personal information, and the app contains no third-party analytics or advertising code.

Where your data is stored

Everything you create in Dayquilt (tasks, projects, habits, journal entries, countdowns and settings) is stored:

Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Permissions the app may ask for

Dayquilt only asks for these when you use the related feature, and you can say no or change your mind anytime in your device's Settings (on Mac: System Settings › Privacy & Security).

Diagnostic log and Send Diagnostics

To help fix problems, Dayquilt keeps a small technical log on your device: things like whether iCloud sync succeeded or failed (with the error code), import results, calendar and reminder errors, and crash reports that Apple provides to the app. It keeps only the last 7 days and never includes what you've written: no task titles, notes, journal entries, habit names or contact names. It is never sent automatically.

If you choose Settings › Help › Send Diagnostics, Dayquilt prepares an email to support@dayquilt.com with your description, a short technical summary (app and system version, device model, language, time zone, whether iCloud is signed in, which permissions are allowed, and how many tasks, projects, habits, journal entries and countdowns you have), and the log attached. You see everything before you send it, and nothing is sent unless you send the email. We use what you send only to help with your issue.

Importing from other apps

When you import tasks from Things 3, Todoist, TickTick, OmniFocus or a spreadsheet, the file you choose is read on your device and the tasks are added to Dayquilt. The file isn't uploaded anywhere.

Siri, Shortcuts and Apple Intelligence

If you use Dayquilt with Siri or Shortcuts, your request is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. On devices that support Apple Intelligence, Dayquilt can use Apple's on-device model to understand a task you type (for example, picking out a date or time). That processing happens on your device.

Links and other apps

If you tap a web link in your notes, an address, or a phone number, Dayquilt opens it in your browser, Maps or Phone app. What happens next is covered by that app or website's own privacy policy.

This website

dayquilt.com has no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

Deleting your data

Children

Dayquilt isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change affects how your information is handled, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes.
